Areas of Women's Ministry at HBC

BIBLE STUDY – a weekly meeting for instruction and grounding in God’s Holy Word, where rich discussion enhances a stronger relationship with your Sisters in Christ! Contact: Lori Johnson


BOOK CLUB – a monthly time for fellowship with ladies who share a common interest in reading. A wide variety of genres are intentionally chosen that you might discover how a biblical perspective can fit into today’s world. Contact: Debra Jenkins or Sue McCoy


CRAFT & CONNECT -- a Christ-centered ministry meant to facilitate the growth, exploration and expression of our God given creativity through the various mediums of arts and crafts. Contact: Anna Heisey


DAY CONFERENCE (Fall) – a full-day conference seeking to connect women to the heart of God through a variety of resources that challenge, teach and testify to the life-changing power and grace of God in our lives. Contact: Kelli H.


EQUIP WORKSHOPS – biblically focused series of 90-minutes teaching sessions, designed to equip our women for ministry and service within their church, family and community. Contact: Lori Johnson


HEART to HEART – this ministry reaches out with the love of Christ to those in our HBC family in need of connection. A simple phone call, visit or serving on the Meals Ministry Team would be a huge encouragement to others. Contact: Trudi Thackston


HUGS (Hope Under God’s Strength) – offers warmth, hope and love through the gift of a homemade quilt to those who are facing serious life challenges or celebrating the arrival of a new family member. Contact: Joan Kolde


LIFE with LITTLES – encourages moms with young children towards a relationship with Christ through biblical wisdom and fellowship with others living the unique challenges of being a mom of little ones. Contact: Lindsay Wood or Karen Warwick


L.I.F.T. (Ladies in Fellowship Together) – is an opportunity for HBC Sisters in Christ to affirm one another in the Lord. Give expression to your gift whether it’s cooking, decorating, music or sharing your story. Let’s put our hands and hearts together to LIFT one another up. Contact: Michele Sowers


WELCOME HOME – this ministry celebrates the gift of life as our families grow. When new children arrive, whether through adoption or birth, this ministry welcomes them with a meal and a gift. Contact: Dianne Shaw


WICK (Women Imitating Christ the King) -- small group ministry that enjoys fellowship while performing acts of service to individuals within the church or community at large. Contact: Cindy Scharenberg


WOMEN'S RETREAT (Spring) – a weekend away with your church sisters to rest and reflect on all that we have in Christ as we share His word and fellowship together. We pray, worship, chat and play together to build each other up and renew our focus on our good Father. Contact: Jody Gabrielson
